Climate in India
India's climatic regions range from temperate in the north to subtropical in the center, with tropical monsoon regions in the south. The north is characterized by the foothills of the Himalayas. At high altitudes, there are snowfalls and alpine conditions in winter. Summers, on the other hand, are very hot, with temperatures reaching 50°C. The center and south of the country are hit by heavy rainfall from June to September. The high humidity creates a sticky, unpleasant climate. Due to the influence of the Indian Ocean, however, temperatures are lower, fluctuating between 25 and 35°C during the day, depending on the season. The rainy season starts around June and lasts until September/October.
